1)Thursday mom went and got us a new beagle puppy. We named her Chloe. She’s 12 weeks old and very cute. Although she’s gonna live outside, we’re still having to get her trained to do her business out of the yard, not jump on people’s legs, not chew on clothes and other things, but my brother is making it very difficult. Seriously, if I’m trying to train the dog not to jump on people, don’t encourage her to jump on you. Oh well, anyways, she seems to get quite excited when we walk the woods path, so looks like I got another hunting beagle like my baby. :D
That said, I spent about 20 minutes this morning getting her out from under the porch this morning since she forgot how to get out and then blocking her path back in. Since it rained, Dad only lets dogs on the front porch (the back one is the dogs’) when someone is on it, and she’s not totally comfortable hanging w/ the big dogs yet(esp since they don’t like her much yet either) she decided under the porch was the place to go.

2)I went to see Public Enemies Friday. It was very good. Johnny Depp was fabulous as always, and I just love classy bank robbers in fedoras anyways. Also, how the hell had my brother never heard of Baby Face Nelson before Friday?

3)I also rented Eagle Eye. It was pretty good, nothing spectacular though. And I kinda figured out the plot way ahead of time.

4) The family’s 4th of July supper was fun. My cousin actually got off work in time for dinner. Nobody really cared enough to go see fireworks, my uncle decided to shoot some off. Sadly, he was out of the ones he bought in SC and GA’s fireworks suck. We sat through about 30 minutes of bad fireworks b/c my uncle, brother, and cousin just have so much fun shooting them off. Finally my aunt goes over to where they’re shooting them off and yells “I’ve got their box of fireworks girls! Run!”. And we did. Lol. Good thing is we got Chloe to where she only barely flinched when a firework went off, where as Penny flips out and runs(she was shot when she was young) and Honey doesn’t react at all.
We went to the river after church Sunday and were there for about 5 hours. It was surprisingly unpacked for a holiday weekend, probably b/c it was so low. We had a good time though.

5) I finally bought a Cobra Starship cd. I also found a Rorschach tee at Wal-mart. (Thanks for the tip, DPAK)

How were your holidays?

A puppy? How cuuuuuute! I love puppies so much except when they grow to be big ol' dogs!

Awww, poor thing got lost! Good thing you found him and be lucky he didn't get lost for good! Be more careful next time, lol. :D

Public Enemies was awesome, I have to agree. Johnny Depp always does a good job as an actor. I never get tired of the good ol' cops and robbers theme myself, especially the way they did it in the movie!

As for my holidays, it wasn't that bad. We had a cookout and fireworks; nothing special. XD It's great to hear you had a fantastic holiday!

I love big ol' dogs

Nah, she wasn't lost. She just couldn't remember how she got under the porch. I think I've blocked off her major pathway.

YES.

Thanks!

Awww, that puppy sounds absolutely adorable. How many dogs do you have right now? My father is convinced on getting a cocker spaniel puppy, but my mother doesn't quite like that idea. We have Tiger, though, a Australian Shepard/Nova Scotia Retriever mix, and he's just the most adorable dog I've ever had.

I kinda wish I had a hunting dog, though. That would be pretty neat.

I haven't seen Public Enemies yet, but I desperately want to. D: But it was really good, right? I can't wait to see it~

For my 4th of July, I went out to my grandmother and grandfather's house in the country with the rest of my aunts, uncles, etc.. We had a very large cook-out and sat around talking; we didn't do much else, because it was scathingly hot (around 105 degrees) and muggy. Sometimes I really hate Texas weather. But it wasn't terribly exciting.

Aww! Sounds cute! I have 3 dogs & 1 cat that all live outside. The dogs are Penny (lab, 12 yrs), Honey (1/2 lab, 1/4 border collie, 1/4 random mix, 9 or 10 yrs), and now Chloe. The cat's name is Gingerbread since we got her around x-mas 1 yr, but we just call her Kitty. She's been hanging around more often lately, establishing her position w/ Chloe.

My last beagle, who died recently, loved to hunt. We didn't hunt w/ him or anything, but he loved to show off to us. I loved watching a little dog chase full-size deer.

Yes. Go see it.

lol. Sounds like South Georgia weather.

Aww, your dogs are so cute~ I wish I could see them. I'm a cat person myself, but I also like most, if not all animals. My cat's name is Duke but I've ended up calling him just Kitty too. xD;;

I think the most hunting ability I've gotten out of my dog(s) is killing raccoons when they entire in our yard. It came as a surprise to me, actually.

If the movie was that good, I'll go bug somebody to see it with me. :D

I think everyone ends up just calling their cat Kitty. Cats respond to that better.

Mine pack hunt. They triangulate stuff and attack it.

Aww, your puppy sounds super cute! :3

I want to see Public Enemies! I can't wait to go see it now~

My holidays weren't all that special. Went out to a nice restaurant, had dinner, and watched the fireworks from there. XD

We never really do special stuff for holidays either, but I suppose getting a puppy made it a special 4th. :D

I think getting a puppy on the fourth is definitely special. :DD

OMG PUPPY! She sounds adorable. ♥

Ack, bad fireworks. :/ Glad you still had a good time regardless. :)

From: [identity profile] batmarg.livejournal.com

She really is. (Though I'll find her more adorable once she doesn't require as much discipline. lol.)

Meh, it's okay. I'm not that big on fireworks.

1) You must post pictures of this puppy so I can bitch about how everyone has a puppy but me. =D ...and you didn't name her after the Smallville Chloe, did you...?

2) Ah, glad to hear that. I figured it would be good, I'm just not excited about seeing it. Anything you recall that I would like enough to cough up some money?

5) Rorscach T-shirt = coolest thing EVER. You just won like 70 cool points. =3

1)I'll try to get around to it w/ my lack of photobucket. And no, though Chloe is my fav char *watched the first 4 1/2 seasons then quit*

2)Nothing particular. I just liked it.

5):D
